Operation Michigan Mission Support
Storm Recovery 2025
Supporting Our Heroes on the Frontlines of Recovery
Over 800 Michigan National Guard Soldiers and Airmen have been mobilized in response to the devastating ice storm that struck Northern Michigan in late March. As they work tirelessly to clear roads, restore power, deliver supplies, and conduct wellness checks across impacted communities, the National Guard Relief Foundation (NGRF) is standing beside them every step of the way.
Operation Michigan Mission Support, a matching donation campaign to support members during this critical time.
Mobilized to Serve, Backed by Your Support
From Lansing to the Upper Peninsula, many units across the Army and Air National Guard are leading recovery missions in difficult conditions. These units have:
- Cleared 500+ miles of roadways
- Delivered over 3,000 hot meals
- Performed more than 8,000 wellness checks
This massive response effort is coordinated with state and local agencies, including the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Michigan State Police.
“Our mission is to ensure that no Guardsman faces hardship alone—especially while serving on the front lines of disaster response. These men and women are working around the clock to help their fellow Michiganders—and we are proud to work just as hard to support them.” – NGRF Director
